California Part 2

After that first trip to Torrey Pines, my dad and I went to various other birding locations (and back to the State Reserve a couple of times) during the week. I won’t write about each individual trip separately, but I will share some written and photographic highlights.

One highlight of the trip was getting to go bird the La Jolla Cove for seabirds. Seeing California’s seabirds was something I had been very much looking forward to doing so I was very happy when we found many good birds. Highlights included Brandt’s and peagic cormorants, wandering tattler, western grebe, a peregrine falcon, and many harbor seals and California sea lions (I realize their not birds but their still awesome).
